Workout From Home (wfh) Essentials

April 8, 2020
In the first three weeks of social distancing, I did absolutely nothing but eat, do homework, eat, watch tv, and repeat. But this week, for my mental and physical health, I realized I needed to get back on my workout grind. I'm still waiting for a few things to come in the mail, but since I've figured out my routine and my essentials I wanted to share it with you all!

Athletic Wear

The athleta salutation 7/8 leggings are the best leggings I've ever worn. I'm also obsessed with the lululemon wunder under full-on luxtreme. I'm not as picky with sports bras, but I love the Nike classic padded because they don't have a bunch of straps in the back that make it complicated to put on. I've had the APL Techloom Breeze for almost 2 years now and I love them. I want to try the adidas ultraboost next.

Equipment

I always workout in the morning and I start with 5 minutes of cardio in the form of jump rope or HIIT. Jumping rope is so fun and I can do it outside in my driveway or backyard to get some fresh air and sun. I'm thinking about investing in the tangram factory rookie smart jump rope to track my speed, heart rate, etc. After cardio, I do one or two muscle groups (arms, back, abs, butt, legs) and then finish with 15 more minutes of cardio. My favorite at-home workout source is @CaliFullerFit on Instagram. I swear by her workouts and I was using them at the gym before stay-at-home started and a lot of her workouts are created to be done from home anyway! Nike Training Club also has an app with pretty good workouts. All of this takes 45-60 min!
