Los Cabos, Mexico: ATVs and Lounging on the Beach

August 14, 2018

Visiting Cabo was the best way to end the summer. Our 4-day trip was the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure - what more could I ask for?

Aside from lounging in our swimsuits, we went on a couple of excursions. The first one was more rugged than I'm used to; ATVing. Driving the ATV is the most fun I've had since being in Hong Kong. I was so focused on my speed and looking at the desert scenery that I barely noticed the heat, but it didn't stop me from getting elbow pad tan lines. If you're ever in Cabo, or anywhere else that offers ATVing, you have to do it —it's much less scary than it looks.

On our last day, we went on an excursion to San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas is the more touristy side, so I was looking forward to spending time in San Jose del Cabo shopping and visiting some of the cultural sites. Unfortunately, our guided tour was not exactly what I wanted and I drove by so many cute local boutiques and restaurants without being able to shop. I'm not sure what other options there are for tours and guides, but it's worth looking into a private tour guide if you want to be able to stop where you want and choose your own activities.

Have you ever been to Los Cabos? Also, where do you like to shop for swimsuits? xx, Lauren
