Back to School Make Up

August 22, 2015
It's been quite a while since I've done a makeup post, so I figured I'd start back up with a back to school post! Makeup for me during the school year is very inconsistent; some weeks I love wearing a full eye look that takes 20 minutes to do, and some weeks I throw on some mascara and call it a day. Then of course there are weeks in between, where I do super simple makeup! Whenever I think of back to school makeup looks, I think of something super quick and easy to create!
First, after applying my normal face makeup as well as eye primer, I applied 'Stand-offish' from the Balm's Nude' Tude palette, to my lids. I love this palette to death, as it was one of the first eye shadow palettes I ever owned! The shade is a shimmery dusty rose, and has super smooth application.

Next I used 'Suspect' from Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette in my crease. This shade is a softer shimmery brown, that I love in the crease to blend out other shimmery colors. I've just started using the Naked 2 palette, as I received it as a birthday gift (thanks mom), but so far I love the quality of the eye shadows and their application.

Next, for a little bit of extra shimmer, I added 'Chopper' from the Naked 2 palette. Chopper has a bit more shimmer than Stand-offish, so I added a bit of it on top to make my eyes really pop. Then I added a black eyeshadow with an angled brush to my lash line, to define my eyes without being too dramatic. Finally, I applied my mascara and that's the look!

That is the completed look, sorry I don't have more photos, it's harder than you think to get quality pictures of the face. I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if there are any other types of makeup looks you want in the future! Stay tuned for a super fun DIY, xo Lauren.
