Spring Break 2018 | La Romana, Dominican Republic

Palm Trees in La Romana, Dominican Republic

I've been back on campus for a week and somehow it feels like 2 months. The past week has been so full that I feel like I've barely had a moment to breathe! I'm excited to finally be publishing this post, though I will admit I love last year's Spring Break in Miami post 100x more. Between Miami and Seattle I fell in love with travel posts, but since this year's spring break was a relaxing resort instead of a bustling city I had to change up the style of the post.

We stayed in Dreams La Romana, an amazing resort that I recommend for anyone traveling to the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic! The resort is all-inclusive and features amenities for literally everyone. Adventurers (like my sister) can enjoy water sports like paddle boarding and kayaking. Gamers (like my brother) can enjoy life-size chess (we did make my sister stand-in for a knight and pretend that we were playing wizard's chess) as well as a pool table, giant Connect 4, foosball, and table tennis! My mom and I loved relaxing on the beach and near the pool. Our favorite amenity was the swim up bar where my brother and I ordered (maybe a dozen) virgin piƱa coladas!

Food can sometimes be tricky in places outside of America because of my sister's dairy allergy and my veganism. Dreams La Romana had limited options at most of their specialty restaurants, however, their buffet was a big hit with my family because of the huge variety and food quality. I typically enjoyed hash browns and PB toast for breakfast while pita bread and hummus were my go-to for lunch! They had green smoothies, chips & guac (which I didn't discover until the last day, tragic) and plenty of desserts.

Love this romper from LuLu's! I've had this one for a while, so here is a similar style from LuLu's and a more similar style from another brand.

My sister looks like more of a blogger than me. I told her to stand there so I could frame this photo and she looks like this!

Another family vacation on the books! What's your favorite family vacation that you've been on? We fell in love with Dreams La Romana and I hope to go back soon! xx, Lauren
