5 Easy Vegan Restaurants in Washington D.C.

April 24, 2017

Happy Monday! It's been awhile, but I'm back with a super fun travel post! This past weekend, I was in D.C. for a school trip, so I wasn't able to do a lot of fun things aside from eating. I went to 5 great restaurants and I loved them each so much I wanted to share what I ate!
1. Chaia - vegan tacos
The most delicious plant-based tacos ever and tucked away right off of M Street in Georgetown. Great if you're taking a break from shopping!

2. Busboys & Poets - vegan nachos & vegan pizza
A great tourist-y restaurant! BB&P is always full of people and it has so many options for everyone. The nachos were great and the pizza was phenomenal. It also has a small bookstore in the front so you can browse and possibly pick up a new read! I've also had the mac and cheese there and wow.

3. Rakuya - seaweed salad & aspara-avo-q sushi roll
Loved it for a late dinner/night out with the girls! The service was great and it's location is right off Dupont Circle.

4. A Baked Joint - iced chai & toast w/ almond butter
Perfect for a quick breakfast to start of the day! Quick service and delicious food that can easily be eaten on-the-go if need be. The inside has a super cool vibe.

5. Sweet Green - make your own salad
This place is everything I want in a go-to city restaurant. I made my own salad with spinach, tofu, asparagus and pesto vinaigrette - it was the best salad I've had in a while. Also in DuPont Circle, but there are other locations in popular areas of town that make it great for a lunch break!
