Packing Tips: Weekend Ski Trip

January 23, 2017

Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing with you what I packing/how I pack for a weekend ski trip. My school's ski trip was originally planned for this past weekend, but was postponed at the last minute to next weekend due to weather conditions and being the planner that I am, I'm already packed!
Packing for weekend trips can be kind of difficult, you never want to over pack, especially when you're traveling with others, but you also don't want to under pack and be stuck without or be forced to borrow from someone else. My number one tip for packing for any trip is to make a list of what you'll need each day from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed.  This way nothing gets left behind that you'll need and nothing extra gets packed. Another tip is to pack the biggest/thickest things (coats, boots, pants) first, and the smaller/thinner things can fit into the spaces between these things. My last piece of advice is to pack the things that you'll need first on top, or if you need them immediately (gloves, goggles, camera) in an easily accessible zipper pocket. If I'm gone only for the weekend I won't take the time to unpack my luggage and hang things up, so I started packing whatever I'll need first (usually my PJs) on top so I don't have to rummage through my entire suitcase and take everything out, leaving my suitcase in disarray for the rest of the trip! Thanks for reading, make sure to follow me on Instagram (@misslaurenalston) and Twitter (@mslaurenalston) to see pictures from the ski trip next week. Until then, xoxo Lauren.
