April Favorites

April 30, 2016
So I am back with this month favorites post, and this month contains a bunch of favorites that I'm super excited about! I've been feeling great lately, which means lots of interesting things for me to share with you all.

Fashion
Kimchi Blue Lea Lettuce Edge Tea: I got this pink ruffle-y top from Urban Outfitters and I'm in love with it. It's blush pink, which is one of my favorite colors, and the ruffle/scrunch around the edges make it super feminine. I like wearing this top with black skinny jeans to make to look edgier and contrast with the femininity of the top.

Urban Outfitters Classic Aviator Sunglasses: For the longest time I was longing for a pair of high-end sunglasses, but then I realized that for some reason my sunglasses often get lost, scratched, or broken. I decided to pick-up this pair because they were cheap and had the look I was interested in, and I ended up loving them. I have the all black pair and I love simplicity in the look.

Lightyears Constellation Necklace and Post Earring Set: Something you may not know about me is that I'm passionate about horoscopes and star signs. My sign is Cancer and lately, I've been wanting some type of jewelry to celebrate it. When I saw this necklace in Lightyears I fell in love with because it's simple, delicate, and a great conversation starter.

Beauty
Dove Sensitive Skin Bar Soap: If you read my latest skincare post, then you would know that I've been using this to wash my face. It's been completely effective in clearing my skin, so it definitely deserves a spot on my favorites.

Palmer's FlipBalm: If you've seen my latest Instagram post, then you would know that I'm working with Palmer's to spread the word about their newest lip balms. FlipBalms are super cute and shaped like a flower, but the flip open to reveal your lip balm. They are available in Ripe Mango, Creamy Coconut, and Juicy Watermelon. Creamy Coconut is favorite, so make sure you pick one up at Target!

Food
Gonza Tacos y Tequila: My last post was kind of a review on this restaurant, and rereading that post has me wishing I was back at Gonza's instead of eating cereal at home. Anywho, if you live in the triangle area I cannot stress enough how good this restaurant is!

Other
Music: I'm sure you are all expecting me to say Beyonce's Lemonade, and you are exactly right. I don't really care about all the drama surrounding it, but the music and videos themselves are phenomenal. My favorite is Hold Up, but I love how Beyonce experiments with different styles of music on the album.

Books: Expect a post on this book soon, but I'm currently reading Half Broke Horses by Jeanette Walls. I won't go into too much detail because I'm saving it for my next post, but it's a great read and I highly recommend it.

TV/Films: As far as tv I recommend Kid's Baking Championship on Netflix. I had a bad day last week so I came home and watched all four episodes and it definitely helped cheer me up. My movie favorite is The Jungle Book. I saw it with my family and I was so impressed by the acting and the visuals. I remember reading and watching The Jungle Book when I was younger, and this movie was the same, but different and new and the same time.

That is all for my April favorites, per usual leave me you recommendations in the comments below! Stay tuned, xo Lauren.
