If you haven't heard of The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, then you must have been under rock for the past 10 months, or not following my literature Pinterest board! Ever since the book was published in January of this year I've been seeing countless reviews and praise for it on the internet, especially since it's being turned into a film!
The Girl on the Train first caught my eye when I saw it described as similar to Gone Girl, which I loved (and did a book talk on)! The two books share a theme of mystery when a girl disappears, and they are both written from multiple perspectives. The Girl on the Train is much more slowly paced than Gone Girl, and deals with a few more characters.
If you enjoyed Gone Girl, I definitely recommend you read The Girl on the Train, and if you've already read it I'd love to have a conversation about it in the comments! Also, I'd love for you to leave book recommendations below! Stay tuned, xo Lauren.
