Museum Hopping | New York City, NY

May 24, 2015

This year, my family is spending Memorial Day weekend in NYC! We drove up on Friday, and we're driving back down on Monday. We've planned out full schedules for Saturday & Sunday, and I'm super excited to share them with you all!

This (Saturday) morning we started with the Empire State Building at 11:30 AM. We went to the 86th floor where we saw a view of the city, it was incredible! Before the tour we rode a skyline simulator, which I'll admit had me a bit shaken up.

After the Empire State Building we had lunch at Heartland Brewery, where I ordered the macaroni and cheese. Heartland was so good, and although it was my first time, I recommend it to all!

We then proceeded to shopping on 5th avenue, and continued on to MoMA.  I loved the Museum of Modern Art way more than I thought I would, as I saw all of my favorite artists such as Roy Lichenstein and Paul Cezanne!

Following MoMA, we did a bit more shopping and then headed back to our hotel for dinner. Dinner was at The Capital Grille, where I ordered mozzarella tomato and shared a side of lobster mac and cheese (SO good) and creamed spinach. For dessert my mom and I split a creme brûlée! It was getting late by this time so we returned to our hotel for sleep!

I had such a great day in New York today, and I cannot wait for tomorrow! Stay tuned!
