24 Hours in Boston

September 26, 2017

If you follow me on Twitter, then you'll know that I was in Boston for literally 24 hrs. My flight landed at 12pm on Saturday and I was headed back to the airport at 12pm on Sunday. Even though my time in the city was short, I had the best weekend I could imagine!

As I soon as my dad and I landed, we stopped at our hotel, the W Boston, to drop off our bags and establish our home base. We chose this hotel because it's a 3-minute walk from the event I was attending that evening and I loved the location. From there I walked about 20 minutes to Newbury Street where I met up with a frien for lunch! Tugce I went to had so many hard (but fun) classes together in high school and now she's at Boston College, so it was great to catch up with her. We went to a restaurant called Cafeteria Boston and the food was great! I got the hummus sandwich (classic Lauren) and it did not disappoint.

From there we did some walking the window shopping along Newbury. I actually stopped at a boutique called lou lou and got a super cute wallet/clutch.

At around 4:30, it was time for me to head back to my hotel and prepare for College Fashion Week Boston, which was the reason I came to Boston in the first place! I did my makeup, changed my outfit, and by 6pm I was out the door and around the corner to Royale, where the event was being held. I didn't actually know anyone there, but I met some amazing girls while I was in line and ended up seeing a girl that I met Her Conference this past summer! The event was great and in Her Campus fashion, I received an amazing goody bag feat. Ulta Beauty and Popsugar! The show featured 4 designers (XIX Palms, Cleobella, VETTA Capsule, and Primark) and looks of all different styles. I shared all of my favorite looks on my Instagram story, so make sure you're following me on Instagram to see all of my content!  Here are my favorite pieces from each designer: XIX Palms | Cleobella | VETTA | Primark

After the event I was exhausted, from traveling, walking, and standing in heels! I ran across the street to Chipotle for dinner and then retired to bed. In order to make the most of my Sunday, I headed to Seaport to enjoy brunch with a friend at byCHLOE. I'd heard so many great things about the NYC restaurant that I knew I had to hit up the Boston location, plus everything on the menu is vegan! From there I did a bit more exploring by foot until it was time to return to the hotel for my luggage and head to the airport!

All in all, though I wish I could have stayed longer, I had an amazing time in Boston and hopefully, I'll be back soon! Have you ever been to Boston? What's your favorite thing to do there? xx, Lauren
